For those of you staying in Ames over the summer, you may already be worried about what activities you should get involved in. Don’t fret! Recreation Services has you covered for anything you could be interested in doing over the summer. Whether it be intramurals, Outdoor Recreation trips or fitness classes, you will never run out of things to do. Here are some of the things you are able to get involved in:

Intramurals:

If you’re looking to join a team of people that you can get to know and make new friends, Intramurals are the thing for you! Summer Intramural sign-ups start May 10th. Get involved in anything from mini golf, table tennis or bowling to spikeball, volleyball or basketball. View the the full list of summer intramural sports here.

Outdoor Recreation:

Outdoor Recreation has an abundance of exciting workshops and trips planned all summer long! Some of the workshops include rock climbing, kayaking and outdoor cooking, as well as more informational workshops such as bike maintenance and wilderness first aid. In addition to workshops, there are some amazing trips you can participate in! Travel to beautiful places in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa and enjoy fun-filled days of whitewater rafting, BBQ’s, hiking, canoeing and backpacking. Fitness Classes:

Summer fitness classes begin on May 20th! Click here to sign up for your favorite classes (3 days prior to each class.) Also, everyone’s favorite, Bachelorette Cycle is back! Watch as Hannah B. goes on her journey to find love every Monday starting May 20th from 7–9pm in the cycling studio!
