Staff Spotlight: Cierra Bielinski Spotlight bio Cierra Bielinski

Hockey, soccer, bowling, fencing, quidditch, and more! Iowa State has over 50 Sport Clubs, but have you ever thought about what goes on behind the scenes to make those possible? Believe it or not, we have some excellent student staff working alongside our professional staff to make these things happen. With that being said, meet Cierra Bielinski, this week’s Staff Spotlight!

Cierra is the Sport Club Coordinator’s Office Assistant. She helps Landon, our Sport Clubs Coordinator, with everything involving sport clubs, especially away travel and home games. When Cierra first visited Iowa State, it instantly felt like home to her. She even decided not to show up for her University of Iowa tour that was scheduled just a few days later. Now, a senior majoring in Food Science, she is loving life at Iowa State. Her favorite part of being a Cyclone is Hilton, “I love being a part of the magic.”

In her free time, Cierra enjoys hobbies such as traveling, hiking, and creating new foods with her food science buddies. Some of her adventures have included traveling to Costa Rica, Jamaica, and almost all 50 states. She also plans on taking a spring break trip to Budapest and a post-graduation trip to Turks and Caicos. Her favorite hike she has done was Misery Ridge at Smith Rock State Park in Oregon.

The thing Cierra loves most about working at rec services is creating new friendships while being a part of the ISU community. “Also, I can say I went to the gym and nobody knows if I really worked out!” Rec services is lucky to have such awesome staff like Cierra working with us! I’ll leave you all with her favorite quote: “You will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” – Spongebob
