Sick of waiting for the rack at the gym? Want a less crowded area to get your sweat on? We’ve got you covered!
The Functional Training Room in Beyer (room 2420) is the place to be! It features functional equipment including squat racks, barbells, water rowers, kettlebells, boxes, TRX bands, battle ropes, pull up bars, etc. Along with all of the equipment is a lot of space for floor exercises. This is a great area if you want to work out with a group but don’t want to hog the racks in State, wait in line for a rack, or if you want to do some high intensity workouts alone. This is the perfect place to get in a good workout without facing the intimidation that might come with going to the gym. While you’re there, check out our cool mural!
Every Tuesday and Thursday, there are open hours between 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm where any member can work out in the Functional Training Room! This room is also used for classes and personal training throughout the week including cyclone circuit, cross training fitness, and bootcamp so feel free to check those out as well! Since this room is also used for classes, we ask that you treat it respectfully and clean up after yourself, just as you would in any of our facilities. We also ask that you stick to the designated Open Hours when a fitness employee is present, just to clear up confusion and keep our classes on schedule.
So join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a good workout! We look forward to seeing you!
