Facilities
Lied’s Gender-Neutral Restroom

Lied Athletic Recreation Center (Lied) has opened its gender-neutral restroom. The restroom is open and available to patrons with some final touches coming soon. With the addition of Lied’s gender-neutral restroom, Recreation Services now has three such facilities. One is on the first floor of Beyer Hall between the men’s and women’s locker rooms, and the other are changing rooms with showers near the State Gym pool.

A new restroom is important to the Rec Services community to offer restroom space for non-binary students and those that feel more comfortable in a gender-neutral space.

Recreation Services policy states patrons may utilize any space and facility consistent with their gender identity. This includes all locker rooms and restrooms.

Recreation Services is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. By creating an inclusive environment and providing programs that support our diverse perspectives, we preserve the spirit of community.  It is essential that all have the opportunity to exercise their right to express individual human and cultural identities as well as affirm all backgrounds, abilities, and fitness levels.
