Family Hours Students running on the indoor track

Do you have kids who have begged to come with you to the gym? Want to bring a younger sibling with you for a climb on the rock wall? Rec Services is more than happy to have them! With Family Hours, you can bring a dependent to the gym for a small additional charge!

Family Hours are on Saturdays and Sundays in all three of our facilities from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During these hours, if you are 18 years old or older, you are welcome to bring up to four dependents (people 17 years old or younger) with you to your workouts! All you need is $1 per minor and a Parental Permission Agreement (available at the gym front desk) signed by the minors parent or legal guardian.

We love to see new faces at the gym, ready to have some fun! Please be mindful that this is not some sort of babysitting service and our machines are not toys. Dependents must stay with you and be respectful of our equipment. We will hold them to the same standards as we hold our students and other members. Also note that age restrictions do apply to all areas of our facilities and our staff at the front desk will review those age restrictions prior to entering the facilities. You can find more details and information on our family hours policies and restrictions here.

Please be aware that the Family Hours are subject to change over school breaks, so be sure to check our website for any hour changes.

Here at Rec Services, we try to be as inclusive as possible. That means we don’t want to exclude our students or staff who have family that makes it hard for them to get in their exercise. Our facilities are friendly, safe places for everyone, and we strive to be welcoming to people in every sort of situation.

Working out with family can be fun! We hope to see you this weekend!
