Gaming and Esports Room

Now taking reservations or drop-ins

The Esports and Gaming Room is located in Beyer Hall and features 30+ desktops and four console gaming stations. The console gaming area is open for drop in and includes PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch (PS5 and Xbox Series X COMING SOON)

Gaming PCs are available for drop in use or can be reserved ahead of time. Use this link to reserve up to two, one hour blocks of time on one of our gaming desktops:


1.  Select one of the ten open PCs
2.  Select your desired date
3.  Enter your email and other information
4.  Click “Confirm”
5.  To book a 2nd hour, click “Start Over” and complete the process again.

*Console gaming stations are open for drop in gaming and cannot be reserved*


Face Mask Policy

  • Face masks are required at all times while inside of Beyer Hall; and while in the Gaming and Esports Room.
  • Mouth and nose must be completely covered. Face shields may not be worn alone, but are allowed when worn in addition to a mask.

Prepay parking meters are available outside of Beyer Hall on the west side of the Thielen Student Health Center. Additional prepay parking meter spaces are available south of State Gym.


All users, omitting guests, must present a valid ISUCard encrypted with the current version number in order to gain access to Beyer Hall and the gaming space. See Membership for detailed information on who can use the facility and cost for passes and locker rental. Guests must show a current photo ID to gain entrance.

Gaming and Esports Club

The Iowa State Gaming & Esports Club is a hub for both casual and competitive gamers on campus to meet people to play with or compete at all skill levels.
