Outdoor Field Policy

 

  • Southeast Recreational Complex, Maple Willow Larch (MWL) Fields, Southwest Recreation Complex and Lied Multipurpose (formerly ISU Soccer Field) are reserved for Intramural and Sport Club activities. These fields may also be used by non-university groups if they have not been reserved by ISU affiliated organizations. Reservations can be made by contacting Doug Arrowsmith at 294-0386 or by filling out an online facility reservation request form by visiting the ISU Recreation Services website at www.recservices.iastate.edu.
  • ISU Recreation Services will make decisions pertaining to field and weather conditions and reserves the right to close the facility and/or cancel activities at any time.
  • Physical changes to the site are not allowed unless pre-approved by Recreation Services (i.e. moving bleachers or goals, installing items into the ground, etc.)
  • Pets, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, motorized vehicles, and any other items that are deemed unsafe, are prohibited.
  • Tobacco and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Vehicles are not allowed on the grass playing surfaces at any time. Parking is also prohibited on the grass playing surfaces.
  • Groups are required to pick up any trash and are expected to dispose of it properly in trash receptacles.
  • ISU Recreation Services can postpone or cancel activities at any time if the event is deemed unsafe; or if event coordinators, participants, or spectators are uncooperative or in violation of the aforementioned policies.
  • Violations of Recreation Services rules, Recreation Services program policies, or ISU student conduct policies, may lead to removal from the facility and loss of privileges.
