Group Fitness Instructor: The Group Fitness Instructors lead and instruct group fitness classes to individuals with multiple fitness levels. Leading classes include cueing, planning and organizing fitness class components, and choreography. Additional responsibilities include providing high quality customer service and motivation techniques to class participants, while creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Those wanting to become a fitness instructor must first complete the Learn To Teach program where all skills to teach fitness classes will be learned. Learn To Teach begins each semester. Personal Trainer: The Personal Trainers are responsible for working with clients to improve their health and fitness levels by conducting fitness assessments, designing exercise programs, and one-on-one or small group exercise sessions. Those wanting to become a personal trainer must first complete the personal training program where all skills to teach train clients will be learned. The personal training program begins each semester. Sign up by filling out the Recreation Services Employment Application and clicking on Personal Trainer.
