This clinic will educate women who are fairly new to weightlifting on proper form, and techniques for the following lifts: Front Squat, Bench Press, Back Squat, Deadlift, and Military Press. The purpose of this course is to help individuals feel comfortable using the weight racks, barbells, and plates. There will also be time allocated to gym etiquette and setting up safety features on the rack. Every session will begin in the fitness studio to learn about the lift of the day; there will also be time to practice the lift with a PVC pipe before moving into actual weight. After the session, the group will make their way to the weightlifting racks at State Gym. This is a skill-designed clinic and not a group workout. If this class interests you, please sign up here.
