Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses among the sport clubs at Iowa State University. Open office hours are available for all participants, and they cover select sport club practices as well as home games.

The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) describes an athletic trainer as a healthcare professional who collaborates with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. The athletic training room is located in 1451 Beyer Hall and is accessible to all Iowa State club athletes.

Athletic Training Room Hours are
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday,
and closed on university holidays.

If you are visiting the Athletic Training Room for the first time, please print and complete the form linked here and bring it with you. This will allow the athletic training staff to help you more quickly.

First aid kits/fanny packs are available first come, first serve for teams to check out for away events.

Coolers are also available for checkout by the teams for home events.
