| Description: |
Broomball is played on ice wearing gym shoes. 5-player teams try to hit a ball that is smaller than a soccer ball into a net, using a broomstick -- see picture. Co-ed Broomball is played with 2 men, 2 women and goalie can be either gender.
There are 2 skill divisions to choose from -- click the Broomball Information link at the bottom of this page for a detailed description. All games are played at night and each team will be scheduled for a minimum of 2 games and a maximum of 6. Teams are limited to 10 players at at game....we don't have enough helmets to allow teams to have more than 10.
The team fee is $40 and must be paid with the "Registration Payment Form" at the Recreation Services Office - 2220 State Gym. The "Registration Payment" form can be printed off this website when you have completed your registration. |

REGISTER ONLINE. Turn your "Registration Payment" form in with your $40 payment at the Recreation Services Office - 2220 State Gym by Wednesday, March 11 - 5:00pm. Office hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
LAST YEAR WE HAD 154 TEAMS -- SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WAIT IN LINE -- YOU SHOULD COME WITH YOUR "REGISTRATION PAYMENT FORM" AND PAYMENT TO THE REC SERVICES OFFICE - PRIOR TO WED. MAR. 11.

Broomball shoes are not allowed due to the unfair advantage. Players may wear winter mittens/gloves, but padded sports gloves made for hockey, broomball, lacrosse, etc. will not be allowed. Helmets, brooms, broomballs and jerseys are provided for players.
