Registration Close:  Wed, 20 Jan 2010 @ 5:00 pm
Divisions:  Male, Female
Location:  Wrestling Room - Lied Rec Center - 2nd Floor

Description:
There are two skill divisions for men and women. The Novice division is for individuals who have minimum experience - and up to as much as 2 years on a high school team. The goal of the divisions is to have competition against others of similar ability. We recommend that if you were on your high school varsity team at least 2 yrs. (barring injury) -- you should enter the Championship division...this division is for our most skilled participants.

The Men's Championship division participants will wrestle a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 matches during the tournament. The Men's Novice and Women's divisions will have a single elimination tourney with a maximum of 4 matches.

All male participants must weigh-in on Thursday, January 29 at one of the 3 times provided. Female participants do not need to weigh-in.

Wrestling shoes are RECOMMENDED, but wrestlers will be allowed to wrestle in socks if they do not have wrestling shoes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO REGISTER:

1. You will need to choose between the Novice and Championship skill divisions. Review the skill division descriptions on the "Wrestling Flyer/Information" links at the bottom of the page to determine which division best fits your ability.

2. You will be asked to list your high school, yr. graduated and the city & state where it is located. You will also be asked about your wrestling experience - including any post-season honors, place finishes, etc.

3. You will be asked to choose your weight class - you must make weight on Thurs. Jan. 29. There are different weights for the Men's Novice and Championship divisions -- review before entering.

4. Indicate any evening conflicts that you may have on the scheduled dates for the tournament. Mon.Feb. 2 - Wed. Feb.4, Sun. Feb. 8 - Wed. Feb. 11, Sun. Feb. 15, Tues. Feb. 17

Eligibility:
ISU students, faculty-staff, affiliates and spouses of students/faculty/staff are eligible to participate. All participants must have a current ISU ID.

Ineligible: members of the ISU wrestling team including "red shirts", individuals who practice with the ISU team and former intercollegiate wrestlers at 4-year colleges.

Forfeits:
ALL MALES MUST WEIGH-IN ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 29 TO BE IN THE TOURNAMENT
Weigh-in times: 7:20-8am, 11:45am-12:15pm, 5-5:30pm. Lied Rec Center - Rec Locker Room - first floor. We will use the digital scale in the locker room and drop the tenths .. so 165.6 becomes 165. This is the only time you weigh-in until the championship match. If you don't make the weight you registered for -- you may move up or down to a different weight.

When you register -- you will indicate nights and specific times that you cannot wrestle. We will TRY to avoid your conflicts, however - avoiding everyone's conflicts is impossible.

Check your ISU email address during the tournament -- that is how we will communicate with you if we need to get in touch.
