West Peterson Park (Peterson Pits) This park is 8 miles north of Ames and about 13 minutes from campus. |
| Description: |
A 2-person team canoes in a small lake, bikes on trails/dirt roads and then runs to the finish line. Approximate distances for each leg are: canoe - .5 mile, bike - 3 miles, run - 1 mile. There will be a limit of 30 teams.
3 heats with 10 teams in each heat. Teams must stay together during the bike/run portions of the race. |

| Eligibility: |
Current ISU students, faculty, staff, affiliates and spouses of students/faculty/staff.
Everyone must have a current ISU ID card.
Spouses and affiliates may purchase their card at the ISU Card Office in Beardshear for the yearly fee of $10. |

| Notes: |
Participants must provide their own mountain bike, helmet and transportation to the park.
The Outdoor Recreation Program in the basement of Beyer Hall has a few bikes and helmets to rent for a small fee. 294-8200 |

The transition area for check-in and set-up will open at 12:15.
