REGISTRATIONS will be accepted Monday, September 14 through Wednesday, September 23. This is a no limit tournament. We have space for 162 participants and the tournament will be held in one evening. You must know how to play -- it is not a tournament for someone who has never played the game. We will give all players $400 in chips to start the game. The blinds will start at $5/10 and they will be raised approximately every 25 minutes. ENTRANTS will receive an email with a summary of the rules and additional tournament information on Tuesday, September 29.
Eligibility:
Fall 2009 ISU students, faculty, staff, spouses of current students/faculty/staff and affiliates. EVERYONE must show a current ISU ID when they arrive in order to participate. Affiliates and spouses can purchase their annual ISU ID card for $15 at the ISU Card Office (0530 Beardshear Hall).
Forfeits:
A $5 forfeit fee will be charged to those who sign up and then don't show up to play. If you need to withdraw from the tournament after you have entered...you must email or call the sport director in advance to avoid the fee. Linda Marticke, 294-3234
Notes:
It will be okay to have beverages and light snacks at the tables, but please no meals. Most of the Union food court businesses are open until 7pm. The MU Market and Cafe will be open and there are also vending machines available.
We may have a waiting list for people who want to play, so please notify the sport director if something comes up and you need to withdraw from the tournament.
Tournament Dates:
Thursday, October 1 5:30pm
Registered individuals will check-in between 5:00-5:20pm and the tournament will start at 5:30pm. If you make it to the final table, we expect to crown a champion by 10:00pm.
