Smart Eats

It’s easier than you think to start eating healthy! Let us help you understand what healthy eating is all about and the basic skills to set healthy eating goals to improve your nutrition.

Participants in the Smart Eats program will be able to:

  • Identify healthy food groups to improve or maintain healthy body composition
  • Demonstrate basic skills to identify and create healthy eating plans
  • Demonstrate new healthy habits that increase positive nutritional choices for enhanced health benefits.

Smart Start

Not sure how to use some of the fitness equipment? Our personal trainers provide you with a free 30-minute session to assist with correct form and operation of Recreation Services’ equipment for the most effective workout. Using the allotted times below, schedule your appointment now!

*Open to all students and valid Rec Pass holders – limited space available.

Body Composition Testing

A free evaluation to help an individual become educated about their body as it relates to the ration of dynamic metabolic tissue (muscle) to passive storage tissue (fat).

  • Free body composition testing is available for all students and valid Rec Pass Holders.

Blood Pressure Screening

Assessing the blood pressure and heart rate will provide each client with an evaluation of the various pressures generated within the cardio vascular system that may influence the overall of the health of their heart.

  • Free body blood pressure screenings are available for all students and valid Rec Pass Holders.

Wellness Assessment

The Wellness Assessment is an opportunity for each client to receive a wellness profile score and discuss with a personal trainer the wellness enhancement resources available to them.

The Wellness Profile is a computerized assessment that analyzes general wellness, weight management, exercise, nutrition, tobacco use, and stress. After answering 46 questions of the wellness profile each client will receive an overall score and suggestions toward enhancing lifestyle habits for healthy living.
The assessment will take approximately 30 minutes.
