AirISU
AirISU is a non-profit collegiate organization with the purpose to design, construct and fly a Light Sport Aircraft. To accomplish this task many things will need to happen first. The funding has to be raised, materials have to be acquired and of course a plane needs to be designed. We have also been working on a donated kit plane from Zenith Aircraft. The plane is a two seat, Light Sport Aircraft, of all aluminum construct.
Campustown Rail Jam
This org will be running the Campustown Rail Jam as part of the ISU Ski & Snowboard Club
Club Diving
The diving club is for men and women who have previously dove and would like to continue the experience. The club meets twice a week for an hour. Email Ryan Mitchell at rjmitch@iastate.edu if you have any questions regarding joining.
Cricket Club
ISU Cricket Club is started in year 2001, to promote the game of CRICKET among students, faculty and staff of ISU. We aim to provide necessary facilities and infrastructure for playing the game on campus. Membership is open for all. We organize regular tournaments throughout the year. Cyclone Chess Club
To play and promote chess in Ames and at ISU. This is done through meetings, events, lectures, and tournaments. Club meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday every month. Meetings are in the Pine Room in the Memorial Union (on the ground floor by the cafeteria). People start coming around 6:45; any official activities scheduled are at 7. Cyclone Go Club
Go is a fascinating board game that originated in China more than 4,000 years ago. Also known as baduk, wei ch'i, weiqi, and igo, it is played today by millions of people, including thousands in the United States. In Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan, it is far more popular than chess is in the West and its popularity in this country continues to grow. The Guild of Wargamers & Roleplayers is the ISU club dedicated to all forms of fantasy roleplaying, live-action roleplaying, historical miniature battles, collectible miniature battles, and board games. Handball Club
The Handball Club is dedicated to spreading "The Perfect Game" through the gathering of students, faculty, and alumni at Iowa State. We are a resource for all levels of players from those with decades of experience to those who don't even know what handball is. Whether members meet for an informal game, or represent Iowa State University at a national tournament, we will be committed to sharing our knowledge and our love of handball.
Hookah Club
This is an organization started by experienced Hookah smokers. We make weekly trips to the Chicha Shack on Lincoln Way. This club emphasizes relaxation and stress relief from school and life in general. The atmosphere will be light, and if interested, philisophical discussions will take place amongst the lingering smoke rings. Everyone who participates will learn how to make smoke rings. Iowa State Broomball Club

Iowa State Hockey Cheer Squad
The Cheer Squad is a support group to the ISU Hockey Team. The squad cheers at all home games and tries to attend one away game each year. The members also help the hockey team with fundraising and raise money to supplement the cheersquad.
Iowa State Lacrosse Club

Iowa State Men's Rugby

Iowa State Radio Control Aircraft Enthusiasts
We are an organization that has a puporse of giving people the opportunity of being able to design, build, and fly radio control aircraft. We have a location to fly at.
Iowa State Sailing Club

Iowa State Soccer Club
The Iowa State Soccer club, formerly the Iowa State Men's Soccer Club and Iowa State Women's Soccer Club provides a fun atmosphere while provideing a level of competition unmet in the past. With games scheduled against division 3 teams and other club teams, the Iowa State Soccer Club has made it to the NIRSA nationals two years in a row, with an extremely promising year this year. Iowa State Synchronized Skating Club
Synchronized Skating is a team sport on ice. We choreograph routines to music and preform in unison including kicklines, circles, blocking, and footwork, all in fluid motion. This sport is for all skating abilities and is open to both men and women.
Iowa State Ultimate Frisbee Club

Iowa State University Ballroom Dance Company
The mission of the ISU Ballroom Dance Company is to promote Ballroom Dancing around the ISU campus and the Ames area. We do this by offering lessons at various levels, attending workshops and competitions, and by sponsoring dances and workshops of our own. Iowa State University Quiz Bowl Club
The ISUQBC exists so that its members may have fun representing the university at regional and national competitions. It shall do this by arranging to attend tournaments, primarily in the Midwest, and by hosting tournaments, both for other universities, and for high school level competition. Iowa State Women's Ultimate
We are a competitive ultimate Frisbee team that invites all women to play with us at practices and competitions. ISU Fishing Club
We are trying to connect with other students here at ISU who like to fish but don't know the area very well. We host a few events each year including a Spring fishing tournament with other area clubs, as well as an Ice Fishing outing in the winter. We are looking for all of those people who are interested in fishing and helping to grow our club. ISU Flying Cyclones
Flying club is about anything and everything aviation related! Club activities include trips and presentations by those in the field. ISU Judo Club
To teach the art and sport of Judo. Judo involves learning throwing, pinning, choking and arm-bar techniques. But Judo is called "the gentle way" because one of it's tenants is "mutual welfare and benefit". This makes a participant understand that he/she would be able to learn nothing without his/her partner. The Judo Club meets Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6pm in 202E Forker Building. ISU Juggling Club
The ISU Juggling Club teachs, practices, and performs all the skills associated with juggling. ISU Kumdo
Club meets Tuesday and Thursday 7:00pm-9:30pm in Forker Gym. If you are a new member and do not own a practice sword, one will be provided. ISU Mountaineering and Climbing Club

ISU Muay Thai
We train in Muay Thai, a combat ring sport imported from Thailand. Muay Thai involves the use of punches, knees, elbows, kicks, and clinching in order to dominate your opponent. ISU Nordic Ski Club
The Nordic Skiing Club is a great way to get out and get exercise in the winter. If you enjoy the snow and like being outdoors, you will love Nordic (Cross Country) skiing. It is a great sport for anyone, someone who is looking to get an intense workout or who just wants to do it for recreation. There will be optional practices and races all through the year. ISU Paintball Club
Students interested in joining need no prior playing experience, nor gear of their own. The ISU Paintball Club is a member of the NCPA (National Collegiate Paintball Association). Within this association, collegiate teams from across the country compete with each another in tournament play. ISU Parkour and FreeRunning Club
Parkour is the art of moving through your environment using only your body and the surroundings to propel yourself. It can include running, jumping, climbing, even crawling, if that is the most suitable movement for the situation. Parkour could be grasped by imagining a race through an obstacle course, the goal is to overcome obstacles quickly and efficiently, without using extraneous movement. ISU Weight Club
The Weight Club provides unique equipment, atmosphere and opportunity for our members for an experience not found anywhere else on campus. KAN JAM Club
The KAN JAM Club’s purpose is to promote and enhance the game of KAN JAM on the Iowa State Campus. KAN JAM club will hold monthly meetings and once per semester tournaments. Members will be required to pay $5 dues per semester and attend a majority of the meetings. Dues will go towards equipment, food and supplies for tournaments and meetings. Officers will be elected to positions annually and will be required to hold the position for the academic year.
Mafia: Death and Deception Club
Our mission is to develop our communication and people skills, to improve upon our abilities to think logically and strategically, to learn to form better arguments, and to increase our powers of persuasion playing the game "Mafia: Death and Deception.” We plan on meeting once a week for two hours. There will be no membership dues of any sort.
Men's Volleyball Club
This club is based on promoting volleyball on campus. We travel to many tournaments at many different universities and cities across the midwest. Recreation Services - Intramural Executive Council
Oversee Recreation Services Intramural program and give a students perspective on what we feel would improve the university. Our main focus is intramurals as we do numerous things to upgrade the sports, rules, equipment and facilities.
Rifle and Pistol Club
Purpose of the club is the promotion of and participation in the safe practice of rifle and pistol marksmanship. Members participate in marksmenship matches in Ames, Van Meter, and Osceola throughout the year. Plus we have sent shooters to the US National Matches five of the last six years. Tir Asleen Medieval Combat Society
Tir Asleen Medieval Combat Society is a fast paced, full contact medieval combat game where participants wield safe, foam-padded versions of medieval and dark ages weapons to combat with each other. Water Polo Club
You learn the rules and skills of fair and competitive play. Iowa State’s men’s and women’s water polo team is competing in the CWPA collegiate club divisions and has several tournaments throughout the year. Women's Outdoor Leadership
This organization is set up to provide women with the opportunity to spend time outdoors and develop leadership skills. These skills include compass work, group management, map work, trip planning, and other skills. There is also the intent of forming strong relationships between women with similar interests.
